Y’all. Y’ALL. I thought I was just going to be shooting a regular Brazos Bend Engagement Session. WHY I let myself believe that knowing that my couples are literally perfect though – I will never know. First of all, the groom?! HIS NAME IS KILIAN. Hahahaha how freaking cool is that?! Secondly, Lisett, the bride of course, is a photographer, too! But that’s not even the best part!

They love Parks + Rec and Friends as much as I do!

So, legit, the first thing Lisett and I bonded over was the alligators! Brazos Bend State Park is located right outside of Houston, one of the most gorgeous parks I have ever seen, and it’s full of gators hahaha. When I say we bonded over gators, I mean that we’re both terrified of gators. They’re literally just big dinosaurs that somehow made it through whatever killed the rest of the dinosaurs! Haha thankfully we only saw two and they were in the water nice and far away from us.

Probably one of my favorite engagement sessions I have ever done. Now, I love all of my clients so so much, but man I feel like each new one is a new favorite. I love engagement sessions so much because it’s a time for us to really connect and get comfyyyy! Not everyone is a professional model and I hear all the time “we’re so awkward in front of the camera!” That’s okay, though!

It’s my job to be the professional, and it’s your job to be you!

But even more than that, I want you to be comfortable, because that’s when you’re the most beautiful. Just look at these two. Clearly they are in love by the way they look at each other, but if ever there was a time I did video, it was then. Watching the way Kilian watched her step to make sure she was safe. Watching how Lisett rubbed his hands when he held hers so tight. It felt like I was in a Nicholas Sparks movie just being in their presence. These are the couples I live for.
